Hello. First Post on My New Blog.

Since this is the first post, I’m going to start by explaining my goals for this site. Several years ago, I started crocheting plastic bags…and I started a blog (CristenCrochet.blogspot.com) to display my work and inspire others to recycle single-use plastic bags into fashionable, reusable creations.

Over the years I’ve met many amazing people through my plastic bag crochet, have taught various workshops at home and abroad, and I plan to continue traveling and teaching whoever wants to learn.

BagsBeGone.com is a continuation of my efforts. It will serve as a platform for posting new designs, sharing tutorials and resources, and planning projects intended to benefit communities as well as the environment.

As I continue to add content to this site, I hope to show that there are many creative ways to recycle plastic bags. I also aim to develop the site into a useful source of information on plastic bag recycling, reuse, and conservation.
